Are you ready to inspire the next generation of tech talent?

We're an independent training provider on a mission to deliver innovative digital apprenticeships that transform lives and fuel careers. We’re now looking for a Work-Based Coach with strong industry experience in IT, networking, or digital infrastructure to support our apprentices on their journey to becoming confident, job-ready professionals.

This is your chance to give back to the industry, use your real-world knowledge in a fresh way, and help ambitious learners build the skills that matter most in today's fast-paced tech landscape.

The Role

As a Work-Based Coach, you will play a vital role in shaping the careers of apprentices enrolled on:

Level 3 Information Communications Technician (ICT)

Level 4 Network Engineer

You will support learners through coaching, mentoring, progress reviews, and industry-informed guidance — helping them translate theory into workplace performance.

What You will Do

  • Provide 1:1 and group coaching aligned to apprenticeship standards and workplace roles

  • Guide apprentices through their learning journey — from onboarding to End Point Assessment (EPA)

  • Offer contextualised support to apply learning in real-world scenarios

  • Track and report on learner progress and skills development

  • Collaborate with employers and delivery teams to ensure impactful outcomes

  • Deliver coaching via remote or occasional in-person visits (region-dependent)

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • Proven industry experience in IT support, networking, or infrastructure (e.g. 1st/2nd/3rd line, network admin/engineer, cybersecurity, service desk)

  • Knowledge of technical concepts including hardware, networking, security, cloud services, or troubleshooting

  • Experience or strong awareness of AI tools, automation, and agent-based systems in the workplace

  • Passion for developing others, with excellent coaching and communication skills

  • Strong organisational and documentation skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in apprenticeships, coaching, or mentoring

  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and the EPA process

  • Relevant assessor or teaching qualifications (e.g. A1, CAVA, PTLLS, etc.)

Why Join Us?

  • Work with a mission-led, forward-thinking team that values impact over process

  • Flexible working – 100% remote.

  • Ongoing CPD and career development opportunities

  • Help shape a diverse, future-ready digital workforce

  • Competitive salary with growth potential.
